In the 1860’s Buena Vista covered more than 6,000 acres reaching from the southernmost part of Sonoma Valley into Napa County. Both regions offer a unique terroir – the magical combination of all the attributes required to create outstanding wines of a particular site – from the soil, to the climate, to the site’s exposure to the sun, to the vine itself. Our Chateau Buena Vista Cabernet Sauvignon celebrates and honours Buena Vista’s indelible presence and significant contributions to the California wine world. Buena Vista has returned to Napa Valley, where Cabernet is the King, if not the Count. Winemaker’s Notes: Grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon were harvested primarily from three vineyards across Napa Valley between October and November. The Founders Ranch 1875, located in St. Helena, lends mid palate and generosity to the wine while, the Chateau Dallage Vineyard in Oak Knoll, provides texture and plushness. The tannic backbone comes from grapes in the Juliana Vineyard located in the eastern hills of Napa. Tasting Notes: An enticing bouquet of blackberry and plum with notes of bay leaf spring from the glass. This is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with blended flavours of blueberry, black currant and hints of cedar spice. Smooth and structured tannins with balanced acidity led to a long and juicy finish
