The amplifier requires a power source, which supplies power to the amplifier via the antenna cable. The power source's task is to supply power to the amplifier located on the mast via the antenna cable. The same cable also carries the signal from the mast to the power source. Suitable power sources can be found on the product page (ALCAD AL100, AL105, and Fagor FA 242, FA 244). The purpose of the antenna amplifier is to amplify the signal received from the antenna. The mast amplifier and power supply are used in poor reception conditions. The amplifier should be placed as close to the antenna as possible, and the power supply should be placed indoors.
